One of the many things I have enjoyed since starting at Hondros is getting to see each student come in from the very beginning admissions appointment to soon walking across the stage at graduation. I see the day-to-day emotions of not doing good on a quiz to passing an exam the next week all while balancing their home life. Every day students are motivating and helping each other get to their collective goal of becoming nurses. It is such a great experience to see them grow in their education and friendships while at Hondros.
I have enjoyed working at Hondros for almost 2 years now. As the Admissions Coordinator I work with the new admits for the upcoming term making sure they have everything ready to start nursing school. In the process I am getting to know the student and building relationships with them. It feels great when I can learn names quickly and make the student feel more welcome when they are greeted by their name!
The best tip I could give any of our students is to make sure you have a support team, not only at school, but at home and your job. Life has its ways on coming unbalanced, but with others on your side you can do it!
My hobbies I enjoy outside of work include playing with my dog, Denver, working out, and reading.
