I am excited to be a part of Hondros College of Nursing; I find the teamwork and reach across campuses is rewardingly supportive. It seems Hondros truly gets the concept of “Better Together”!
Over the years, I have been blessed with the opportunity to work in a few amazing jobs in my life. For example, I worked with the NBA’s local team and as a marketing director for a bank. As exciting as those opportunities were, the most rewarding accomplishment is having been a part of the committee that built the Buffalo Soldier Monument at Ft Leavenworth, Kansas. That has now mushroomed into a memorial park, honoring the first soldiers of color in all ranks. Working with then-surviving Buffalo Soldiers and Tuskegee Airmen was an unforgettable experience. Oh, the tales they told!
What a privilege to be a member of the Hondros team, where no two days are ever the same…and I love it! Separated by miles and state lines, Hondros Ohio/Indiana/Michigan has strategically cultivated a one campus vibe/culture. From one campus to the other, they have done an amazing job creating a ‘united campus’ feel. I look forward to becoming even more rooted in ‘the family tree’.
To the students, I encourage you to get everything you can from the journey. Focus and commit to the process and decline any shortcuts. The more of yourself you invest, the greater the career return. The result is worth the sacrifice and very rewarding! Yes, it’s challenging and sometimes it’s hard, but if it was easy, everybody would do it. The question I ask of you is “how badly do you want it!?” I am here, and ready to advocate for and partner with you, let’s do this!
