For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to do anything I can to make a person's situation easier or better. I have a natural dedication and passion for caring for others, with the combination of providing physical care and offering emotional support, which will always resonate with me on a personal level. I also appreciate the opportunity for continuous learning and growth while directly impacting individuals. It is a career where I can find fulfillment by blending my passion and empathy for people. In addition, I want to make a better life for my son. He gives me the courage and motivation to strive for more and be a better person every day.
I currently work as a bartender and server at Dave and Busters in Springdale, Ohio. My job is very demanding, fast-paced, loud, and active, but it is also lucrative most of the time. Working there has equipped me with the interpersonal skills needed for healthcare.
When I started to research which school to go to and which program I wanted to do, I became overwhelmed with all the different options. There were so many places and different programs, but none of them checked all the boxes on my complicated list exactly like Hondros College of Nursing did. They were able to offer me a great Medical Assisting program that was a hybrid approach, half online and half on campus, with a very hands-on approach. It was flexible enough to fit my chaotic schedule while still giving me the experience and education I needed to be successful.
I really believe Hondros College of Nursing provides the best tools, education, and hands-on experience for every program it offers to set its students up for success. They provide so many different resources, and they care about your specific learning style. I am still fairly fresh into the program, but I can already tell they are there to help you make a difference.
I would tell someone considering starting nursing school that they absolutely should pursue it if they have a passion for helping others at their most vulnerable time. You can't only think about it for the money side of things because nursing school alone is a true dedication and commitment. The right education is essential to prepare you for success, but it's up to you to push through when things become overwhelming.
