From a young age I knew I wanted to be in the medical field in some aspect. As I got older, I realized nursing was going to fit my lifestyle and goals the most. Being a nurse means I get to take care of my patients in probably one of the lowest points in their life. If I can make even the slightest bit of a positive difference during this time, then I would feel proud and fulfilled.
I chose Hondros College of Nursing because it offered something larger universities don’t, which is smaller classroom sizes. I appreciate how I can have one on one time with the instructors to really practice my skills and learn the material. I like that at Hondros the professors know my name, who I am, and my personality. I haven’t experienced this in higher education settings before.
To those considering nursing, I recommend that you hit the ground running and don’t look back. Your life will forever be changed by your decision to go to nursing school. The greatest joy of nursing is knowing you are helping others when they need it the most.
