I remember from a young age being fascinated with how the human body functions and having an innate desire to help people at their worst, because often at people's most vulnerable times you get to learn their story. When they can walk away at their best, you get to keep a little piece of that story with you forever. For me, that feeling is exactly why I became a nurse.
In 2019 I decided to stop by Hondros College of Nursing to get an overview and consider my options. That afternoon, after talking to the admissions team and taking a tour of the campus, I signed up for the PN program. Fast forward to 2024 and I am ready to return for my ADN. My time spent at Hondros for my PN program was a great experience. The instructors have a genuine interest and passion for healthcare, they also helped nurture my dream of becoming a nurse.
The feeling you get at the finish line when you hold that paper in your hand with "Licensed Practical Nurse" after your name, is one of the best feelings in the world. The sense of accomplishment and fulfillment is like no other. At the end of the day, it's an investment in yourself, your future, and your career.
