During the pandemic, I worked as a phlebotomist, but I felt limited in how much I could assist patients. I wanted to provide more comprehensive care and realized that to achieve this, I needed to expand my healthcare knowledge and pursue a nursing career.
I decided to attend Hondros College of Nursing because it aligned with my personal and professional goals. The staff was supportive throughout the admission process, which made me feel well-supported during my entry into the program.
I would advise anyone considering the healthcare field that while dedicating the time needed to excel can be extremely challenging, it will ultimately be very rewarding. I’d also recommend studying diligently, staying organized, and constantly keeping your motivation in mind. Personally, I had to refocus my efforts, set aside dedicated study time, and attend tutoring sessions regularly. I stayed late after school, asked questions, and reviewed exams to better understand the areas that needed improvement. I also made sure to use every available resource to ensure my success.
