I am fortunate to have joined Hondros College of Nursing in September 2023. Before Hondros, I served as the Anatomy Lab Coordinator for both the College of Health Professions and the Medical School at Central Michigan University, as well as in various roles as a graduate teaching assistant, undergraduate teaching assistant, as well as several educational positions. These experiences have shaped my unique perspective on anatomy and physiology, which I aim to bring into my teaching to captivate students and help them see how the concepts in A&P relate to everyday life.
Having now taught on two different campuses for Hondros, I am impressed with the consistent quality of education and resources provided to each student. Hondros truly equips students with the essential tools to become well-rounded and knowledgeable healthcare professionals. This is crucial, as there will come a time when our students will no longer be “just students” but will become the ones saving lives.
I encourage students to take their time at Hondros seriously and to appreciate all the unique opportunities that come with a college education. Whether working with highly educated and experienced nursing instructors, building connections with classmates, or honing vital skills, embrace each moment to develop yourself into a stronger student, friend, family member, and nurse. Establish connections with instructors, classmates, and staff. While the education you receive is paramount, so are the relationships you build along the way.
Jacob Paige is faculty member at the Bingham Farms campus. He holds a Master of Science degree from Central Michigan University. He enjoys walking with his dog, photography, cooking, and advancing his education in anatomy and physiology.
