Hello, my name is Jessika Johnson, and I have been working at Hondros since the Akron campus opened in 2021. In my previous role as the admissions coordinator, I enjoyed watching new students navigate through the program and walk across the commencement stage. In my current position as the campus assistant registrar, I work behind the scenes, monitoring attendance, assisting with course offerings, and helping students with their registration.
I can empathize with our students because I know that this journey is not easy. When I was fourteen, I graduated from an intense program that combined high school and college courses, allowing me to earn an associate degree alongside my high school diploma. I often found myself up late at night doing homework and struggled to understand the material while keeping pace with my peers. However, those four years were challenging but ultimately rewarding.
The best advice I can give to any student in the program is to remember that we, the staff and faculty, genuinely want you to succeed academically and in all aspects of your life. If you are struggling or need someone to talk to, we are here to listen and connect you with the resources you need to succeed. If you require assistance with your classes, please feel free to reach out to any one of us. In short, don't give up on your dreams or on yourself. Achieving your goals comes with challenges, but you do not have to face them alone
