I wanted to pursue nursing because I have always had a passion for caring for others. My grandmother was a nurse, my mother is a nurse, and I have 3 sisters who are all nurses. Caring for others is what we do. I started out as a certified nursing aide in 2007, completed my LPN program in 2010, and now I am pursuing my RN.
Two of my sisters went to Hondros College of Nursing’s Independence campus. I heard a lot about the program from them. I specifically chose Hondros College of Nursing because I liked the hands-on training, being able to start right away, and the program’s timeline.
To succeed, remember that patience is key. Remain devoted and enthusiastic about your goal. Keep a positive attitude and outlook. Be efficient, prioritize, and reflect on daily situations and events.
If you’re thinking about starting a career in nursing, now is the time. The world needs nurses now more than ever. Why wait?
